Kitchen Products

Below are my favorite kitchen products that I love to use frequently in my kitchen.  When I buy something for my kitchen whether it is an ingredient or a product, I do thorough research to find the very best and try to keep cost down.  I don’t mind spending a little more for a quality product if it is going to last.  I really try to keep kitchen tools and gadgets to a minimum as it can be so tempting to buy the next “new” thing out there.  If you have any questions or comments, please leave them below or send me a message! I would love to know what your favorites are in your kitchen!

Instant Pot Duo Plus

I will be honest that it took me a while to pull the trigger on the Instant Pot craze.  Because I love the process of cooking, adding flavor as I go, I felt like this just wasn’t for me.  But, I finally surrendered because life can get hectic and crazy and some days I just need dinner to be done all in one pot and fast. I will say, I am now a huge fan. We have made tacos, spaghetti, boiled eggs, rice, soups, meat, etc. in it and it has been great!  The slow cooker function is not my favorite as I feel like it cooks too slow, so I use pressure cook most of the time. Have questions about it? Contact me!

Food Processors

I use a mini and a large food processor. Honestly, I use the Cuisinart mini much more but I love my large KitchenAid Food Processor. I have had both of these for quite a while and they have held up great! They are simple and do exactly what I need!

Kitchen Gadgets

I love my Oxo mango slicer, Oxo apple corer/slicer, microplane grater/zester, and Chef’n FreshForce juicer.  I use these 4 a LOT in my kitchen!

My menu is sometimes incomplete and I’m totally ok with that. My goal is always to plan at least 3-4 meals throughout the week with at least one night as “scrounge” night. #familytablethyme
Are you overwhelmed with what to cook and eat ever Are you overwhelmed with what to cook and eat every day? The first critical step is to MAKE A PLAN! It can be overwhelming and tedious to follow through with meal planning, but it really is worth it!
I decide to make my own customized "Hughes Family Meal Planner". With this notebook, we can keep a record of everything we are making, recipes we want to try, and recipes we liked/disliked each month.
If you need a jump start on meal planning, you can print my pdfs here:
